What is AskCodi?
AskCodi is an AI agency that builds and maintains software in a GitHub repository the customer owns. AskCodi supports both new ideas and existing applications, turning agreed outcomes into visible tasks, tested changes and reviewable pull requests. The service is intended for work that would otherwise require a hire or contractor.
AskCodi keeps the account active after launch through ongoing maintenance and a written update every Monday. Project scope is documented before work starts, and deliveries are presented for customer sign-off. The operating model combines scheduled work with explicit boundaries, rather than allowing every decision or change to proceed without review.
What AskCodi can do
AskCodi covers initial product delivery and recurring software upkeep through standing workflows called plays. Each play has a named outcome, a procedure, reasons to resume work and a stop condition. Approved work can continue on schedule, while receipts record what changed, what evidence supports the result, what the run cost and why work stopped.
- AskCodi scopes milestones and takes tested work live with customer sign-off.
- AskCodi triages production errors and prepares tested pull requests.
- AskCodi groups support requests and turns selected requests into specifications and changes.
- AskCodi proposes measured changes where analytics show users dropping off.
- AskCodi checks merged code against documentation and the changelog.
- AskCodi displays tasks, deliveries, production signals and standing plays in a workspace.
How AskCodi works
AskCodi offers separate starting paths for an idea and an existing application. An idea moves through scope, system design, a task board and an initial milestone. An existing application starts by connecting GitHub, after which AskCodi reads the repository, maps how the application runs and is checked, and proposes a maintenance play.
AskCodi limits ongoing automation to a pattern approved through a supervised pilot. Code work happens on a branch, and repository checks must pass before a change is called ready. New scope, money decisions, destructive actions and work outside agreed boundaries return to the customer. Failed work remains visible, with retries governed by rules and repeated failures triggering a stop.
Who AskCodi is for
AskCodi serves founders with ideas, developers working alone, startups with applications, teams without engineers and freelancers serving clients. AskCodi provides a nontechnical mode where customers describe the problem and review the result while building, hosting and upkeep are handled. Developer mode exposes the charter, design documents, task board, models and repository for closer inspection.
- Founders can define an initial product scope and its exclusions before development.
- Application owners can establish recurring error triage and documentation upkeep.
- Teams can turn recurring customer requests into specifications and pull requests.
- Developers can inspect design documents and repository changes.
AskCodi pricing and plans
AskCodi offers a free plan with 1,000,000 tokens a month, a 300,000-token daily cap, one app and one seat. The free plan requires no card and has no expiry. Individual costs $29 per month for one app, Pro costs $99 per month for up to 5 apps, and Business costs $199 per month for up to 20 apps.
AskCodi returns each paid plan's full price as tokens at $1.25 per million, with top-ups available on paid plans. Agency runs and AI Gateway requests use the same balance. Yearly billing includes two months free. AI Gateway is also available independently through an AskCodi API key and an OpenAI-compatible SDK or client.
AskCodi strengths and limitations
AskCodi combines customer-owned repositories, visible work records, test evidence and spending controls. Customers can inspect changes and retain approval over consequential decisions. Those controls also define the limits of unattended operation: automation stays within an approved pattern, and work stops at the available balance or configured spending cap.
- The free plan restricts usage through app, seat and daily token limits.
- Token top-ups are available only on paid plans.
- Decisions outside agreed boundaries require customer input.
